Welcome to MK Racing,
I started racing go-karts in 2004 with my mom and dad.
My first race was at Miller Park in
a SCCA timed event where I picked up my first of many wins in my
go-kart at similar events around the Midwest.
In 2007 we bought an INEX Bandolero,
which was a major step up from the go-karts.
I
also formed MK Racing which stands for Mr. Kyle, a nickname I’ve
had since I was a young child.
2007 was a great rookie season for me,
I learned a lot from the other drivers by following their lines.
Although my first season wasn’t without
incident it was still a great year.
I took rookie of the year honors as
well as finishing fourth in points as the Milwaukee mile’s summer
shootout.
2008 brought with it a sense of renewed
strength as I finished second in the first race.
The very next race at the Milwaukee
Mile was a turning point in my racing career.
I won my first heat race and then started
last in the feature, and within the first three laps I was in the
lead and I never looked back picking up my first victory in a Bandolero.
Milwaukee treated me well with three
more feature wins and two heat race wins and eventually winning
the summer shootout championship.
I went back to Rockford speedway after
a short break from the track.
My first week back I finished second
in the feature.
I had consistent second place finishes
every week until I captured my first clean sweep at Rockford with
a heat and feature race win.
I won another heat race at the last
race where I captured my second championship title.
These wins and great finishes helped
me gain my most prestigious title of the 2008 Wisconsin Bandolero
Outlaws championship.
I was invited down to the national banquet
in North Carolina to get my trophy.
In 2009 we purchased a legends car, it was a big stepping stone
for me as I was not used to this much power before.
It was defiantly a tough rookie year for me with a crash
at Rockford and a blown motor at Madison.
However, we fought back to win rookie of the year honors
and a 10th place points finish at Madison international
speedway. I also finished
181st in national points out of over 500 drivers which
is an achievement on its own.
2010 has been a good sophomore year so far with all of my
races finishing in the top 10 until I blew my second motor which
in the process of getting fixed.
